One of the leading global banks is seeking a Managing Director and Head of Climate Risk Advisory. This role will sit in the front office and will work closely with the Global Head of ESG Risk to offer best-in-class climate risk management advisory to clients across the bank's various businesses.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading climate risk analysis and advising clients on managing their climate risks

  • Developing the bank's transition finance strategy in line with the group commitments

  • Work with the business teams to accelerate NetZero Journey for clients using the bank's product and service offerings

  • Work closely with the central risk team and feed into the central climate stress testing and regulatory consultations

  • Act as the central point for all Climate and Net Zero Portfolio related client queries across the bank

  • Creating a centre of excellence for building in-house expertise on climate change

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in sustainability and climate risk advisory in banking

  • Experience in analysing industry and corporate drivers, which can support transition considerations for industries

  • Ability to interpret and synthesise climate research and developments into meaningful and tangible actions

  • Ability to work in matrix teams and influence senior stakeholders to drive change
