Modelling and Research Specialist - Sustainable Investing

One of the world's top Investment Management firms is seeking an ESG modelling specialist for its Sustainable Investment team.

You will work closely with the firm's investment desks (equities, fixed income, private assets, commodities, derivatives, insurance linked, multi asset etc.) to provide them with the research and analytics needed to pursue sustainable investment strategies.

​

The role will see you utilise the firm's proprietary ESG investment tools to provide a rigorous evaluation of poorly understood themes and seek to quantify social and environmental impact using a range of valuation techniques.

​

The successful candidate will work with colleagues and investors to understand investment needs and identify the specific requirements for research and tools. They will then work to tailor in-house models to different desks and strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of ESG trends and best practice

• Support the enhancement of thematic tools expand their application and use

• Provide subject matter expertise on research and models for investor information packs and presentations

• Build effective relationships across the firms 60 investment desks, across regions and asset classes

Requirements:

• An interest in providing new insight into the effects of global trends on company values

• Strong data handling and analysis skills

• Advanced modelling capabilities in Excel (and ideally Python)

• Experience of providing analysis on sustainable investment and ESG themes

• Understanding of financial markets and products
