Dedicated to creating a more sustainable future, a consultancy within the utility sector, with a focus on addressing key challenges and developing long-term sustainable partnerships, is looking for a Net Zero specialist to guide their clients by using measurable targets and implementing operations and processes. Using your expertise, you will be integral in providing ESG and net zero technical knowledge to assess the clients' journey and, in turn, report on findings and data.

This is an interim contract and can be completed remotely but with the willingness to be able to commit to occasional travel such as client sites) paying between £450 - £600 a day (Can also be part-time).

Responsibilities:

  • Using the company's framework, providing ESG technical knowledge to assess the level of sustainability maturity

  • Providing benchmark driven & gap analysis to recommend businesses about processes and measurable outcomes

  • Creating reports of findings that are prioritised through an implementation roadmap

  • Using digital solutions for carbon emission reporting, including scopes 1,2 and 3

Person specification:

  • Industry experience in utilities or built environment

  • Knowledge of carbon emissions, scopes 1,2 and 3 (reporting)

  • Reporting on ESG disclosures (methodology, data and performance)

  • Sustainability and net zero strategy development

  • Decarbonisation design, development/delivery (including Energy Performance Certificates - EPCs)
