We are working with a social enterprise, with 18 years' experience in project development of community-powered carbon programs in areas of sustainable agriculture, social forestry, mangrove restoration, clean cooking, rural energy access, and waste management. They are searching for an Operations Delivery Head based in Bangalore.
These programs are focused on people collectives who are at the forefront of the climate crisis and are aimed at enabling livelihoods and adaptation at scale. Their work encompasses over 7+ million rural households and approximately 3-5 million hectares of agricultural land & forest areas across 15+ countries in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing multiple operational projects simultaneously to ensure that resources are delivered on time, within budget and to the desired level of quality
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement where all employees can identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to ongoing operational optimisation
Identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring that the organisation can function effectively and overcome unexpected challenges
Identifying inefficiencies in operational processes and implementing changes that increase efficiency
Leading and motivating cross-functional teams, setting clear expectations
Gathering, analysing and interpreting data to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
Monitor project progress, tackle potential issues, and continually optimise for better efficiency
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operations Head to oversee all operational processes within the organisation. This role is responsible for developing and implementing delivery strategies that align with the organisation's overall goals and objectives, and optimising to increase efficiency, effectiveness and timely execution of projects.
Key Requirements:
Relevant degree in operations management, business administration or a related field
12+ years' experience in operations management with leadership experience being a part of that
Experience in the carbon markets or carbon offsetting projects sectors
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategy that align with organisational objectives
Experience in smaller organisations, where a key part of your role was setting up new systems, approaches and strategies
Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in quality management, change management and continuous improvement
Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
