In the Asia-Pacific region, in particular, we have a small but mighty team that's growing fast and we need someone to take charge of their processes to make things run as smoothly as possible.

Firstly, we're a global recruitment business operating in the sustainability and climate change sectors. I'm sure this explains a little about why we're so busy - everyone is looking to tackle these problems head-on right now, but also need a recruitment partner that's well versed in these markets.

Fortunately, we've been doing this a long time - 18 years to be exact.

Now if you were to join us as an Operations Manager, what might the role look like on the day to day?

This role will require you to work with a range of colleagues globally, from our finance and marketing functions to our consultancy team. Your remit will be very broad, and you will offer support across HR, internal communications, executive support, office management and beyond. This will include.

Making sure Acre is a great place to work

  • Coordinating operational projects; for example, ergonomics and office set-ups and moves

  • Working alongside our operations and marketing teams to plan excellent events and socials

  • Contributing to relevant projects, such as wellbeing strategy, incentives, and team engagement

  • Partnering with our HR and central functions to oversee the onboarding process for new team members - including the Acre welcome experience and office/home-working set-ups

Office support

  • Overseeing office management and day-to-day upkeep - relationship management with our local office supplier

  • Procuring new sustainable suppliers as and when necessary that adhere to B Corp certification standards and aligns with our company values

  • Understanding of basic IT troubleshooting from a physical hardware perspective and software troubleshooting

  • Updating Acre policies and procedures in line with local regulations and changes

  • Meet and greet clients and candidates as and when required

Supporting colleagues

  • Providing administrative support as required across central and operational teams - scheduling meetings, coordinating diaries, procuring reports

  • Booking travel, reviewing travel partners, and seeking the most sustainable travel options where possible, off-setting where necessary

  • Logistical input and support on team relocations

What skills will you need?

  • Initiative and problem solving - The ability to overcome a range of challenges through a pragmatic but innovative approach. You will be highly adaptable.

  • Detail-oriented - You will need to have strong attention to detail working in a small but rapidly growing team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leadership and determination - You will have a strong sense of purpose and a strong resolve to overcome obstacles and challenges until the job is done!

  • Great Communications - You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Incorporating the use of IT to ensure that communications are efficient and effective. You will be a good negotiator.
