The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) believes organic cotton is the catalyst for a truly sustainable textiles sector. As a multi-stakeholder organisation, OCA unites the sector to unleash the potential of organic cotton, from field to fashion, for people and the planet.

OCA envisions a future where, every time a farmer switches to organic cotton, there is a ripple effect of positivity; farmers earn more and their land and soils are fertile for future generations, protecting our planet. They call this the Organic Cotton Effect.

OCA is committing to enabling this future by creating a transparent, responsible and resilient organic cotton supply chain that prioritises delivering farmer prosperity and meeting the sector's shared sustainability goals. As an accelerator, OCA wants to get to this future, faster.

About This Role

As Partnership Manager, you play a critical role in the organisation. For OCA to deliver on its mission, the business needs the positive engagement and collective action of its contributor base. OCA's contributors, representing organisations from across the organic cotton supply chain, must be inspired, equipped and effectively supported in driving their mission forward. OCA is also keen to expand its contributors and partner base to deliver its support to a growing number of farmers and achieve the impact it envisions. You will play a vital role in articulating OCA's value proposition to different stakeholder groups and ensuring the delivery of that value to contributors old and new.

This is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, which comes with an incredible growth opportunity for a skilled manager wanting to add to previous successful commercial and/or sustainability experience. You will develop, as well as execute the different aspects of contributor management and engagement, from systems and processes to enhanced contributor engagement, satisfaction and growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an engagement strategy focused on OCA's key stakeholder groups, including recruitment, onboarding and engagement of Contributors for OCA globally;

  • Review and improve processes and tools for engagement on OCA's platform and our principal Farm Programme;

  • Support the development of educational and marketing collateral needed for the dissemination of OCA information to key stakeholders;

  • Establish a system to regularly monitor the satisfaction levels of OCA Contributors.

Account management of OCA Contributors

  • Foster a positive Contributor experience from onboarding onward and build substantive relationships to increase engagement and retention;

  • Conduct regular touch-bases with Contributors to understand their priorities, concerns, challenges and opportunities, allowing OCA to improve service delivery, anticipate and respond to evolving needs;

  • Maintain and evolve OCA's existing Contributor database in an accurate and timely manner to ensure the most accurate information;

  • Collaborate with other OCA teams to ensure each new Contributors' experience is optimal, offering a smooth transition from initial interest/outreach, to onboarding

  • Plan and deliver annual OCA Contributor meetings, both virtual and in-person, and support the execution of public events.

Business development and fundraising

  • Develop and maintain a Contributor and fundraising pipeline, recording material interactions with leads, prospects and Contributors and donors in CRM database;

  • Assist the Directors in business development and fundraising activities, from meeting coordination to adequate follow-up, and in the case of donor accounts, the grant development process.

About you

You are a self-motivated, dynamic, engaging and service-oriented person, who can inspire and guide organisations in joining OCA and actively participate in its programmes with the authority required. You possess a hands-on attitude and thrive in a dynamic and team-oriented environment as you will be working closely with the other team units such as Programmes, Communications and Operations in OCA's different country offices. You are organised, with demonstrated project and time management skills, and a strong interpersonal ability to understand different cultures, as well as develop longlasting partnerships with stakeholders, members and your team.
