We're hiring in our London office!

Are you motivated by the thought of working for a progressive, forward-thinking organisation that puts purpose on the same pedestal as profit?

If so, you might like to know a little bit more about Acre. We are an EHS and sustainability recruitment agency headquartered in London with offices in Amsterdam and New York. We've been the market-leader in this space for over 18 years and in that time, we've built a community of talented, dedicated professionals who contribute to impactful social and environmental change on a daily basis.

We work with world-leading corporates, consultancies, non-profits and NGOs, deploying our extensive network to place leading talent into impactful roles, to develop high performing teams and to provide valuable business intelligence to organisations of all shapes and sizes. We also measure our success one individual at a time and for this reason, wellbeing, ethics and sustainability are key to our culture.

If we've piqued your interest, you may be interested to know that we're growing our internal Performance Development team to ensure that the technical and non-technical development of our employees doesn't get neglected amid all of the exciting change going on in our markets and in our business.

So, why are we hiring a Performance Development Manager ?

At Acre, we're passionate about developing our people and our culture to align with our organisational goals. Our Performance Development Team is responsible for ensuring that our staff have the support, resources and skills required to be confident and effective in their role. That's where you come in…

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and development to support our Performance Director - both strategically and operationally - to help coordinate and deliver training, identify and address training needs in our team and to help manage performance with an aim of enabling sustainable behaviour change that allows our staff to thrive.

What can you expect to do in this role?

Wellbeing

The wellbeing of our employees is of utmost importance to us and we'd love it if you could help us continue to prioritise it. You'll help us create forums for discussion on productive wellbeing practices and you'll take accountability for recommending areas where we can improve - no matter how big or small. You'll also champion wellbeing on behalf of your colleagues, raising any concerns you may identify during your work and helping role model best practice.

Training

From onboarding to ongoing development support, you'll be a key business partner across our teams. You'll contribute to the development and maintenance of internal training content and programmes, which includes recruitment theory and practice, advanced recruitment skills, management training and general non-technical upskilling. This will come in the form of both one-to-one coaching and group level support. You will also identify and collaborate with external training partners for the provision of leadership, executive coaching and non-recruitment training for operational team members.

Performance

You will partner with our leadership team to understand individual and team performance expectations and continuously monitor and assess delivery and performance against them with a transparent and open dialogue, presenting opportunities for training interventions and development. You'll also close the loop between wellbeing, engagement, motivation, development and performance. This includes monitoring and sharing accountability for continuous development and progression towards team members' development goals.

Culture and Engagement

We take great pride in offering a productive, inclusive workplace for our people but we're always striving to do better. You'll provide training and advice on key policies and initiatives that will help drive our culture and engagement forward on a continual basis. If you enjoy communications, monitoring engagement and setting a strategic vision, you'll love this aspect of the role.

Project Management

Project management is an integral part of what you'll do, so we need you to be proactive, organised and driven. Where required, you'll manage, contribute to and undertake key company projects with a collaborative approach.

In terms of soft skills, we're looking for someone who:

  • Has values that align closely with ours; integrity, innovation and collaboration

  • Is passionate about holistic development and builds trusting relationships based on transparency and openness

  • Can flex between working at an individual, team and organisational level

  • Has a growth mindset - especially in the midst of challenges and setbacks

  • Is excited by the thought of working in a global, fast-paced recruitment environment

  • Can confidently and credibly engage with stakeholders of all levels of seniority

  • Maintains a high standard of work and stretches peers to aspire to do the same

In terms of experience, we're looking for someone who has:

  • Demonstrable sales success in a recruitment consultancy

  • Training and coaching experience in a recruitment or sales environment

  • A qualification in professional development - this is not essential but would be ideal!
