In the UK, the Humber Refinery in North Lincolnshire is helping achieve the UK Government's decarbonisation aims with the production of Low Carbon Liquid Fuels, hydrogen power scale-up, key materials for electric vehicle supply chain, and offshore wind as a key part of the energy mix.

Acre is delighted to support Phillips 66 as they look to appoint a Product Stewardship Director.

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the product regulatory compliance work within the UK and Europe. You will develop and maintain the necessary technical and regulatory support to ensure ongoing compliance with EU REACH and CLP, UK REACH and other new chemical regulations in the UK & Europe to ensure the safe management of materials that are imported and exported.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the management of Phillips 66 EU REACH & CLP compliance programme, ensuring that current and future REACH registrations are consistent with business needs and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain individual product registrations and work with relevant SIEF to ensure continued access to EU REACH data

  • Maintain and manage EU REACH documentation, and coordinate Safety Data Sheets to ensure compliance with EU CLP Regulation

  • Create and action an implementation plan for UK REACH, ensuring the initial grandfathering of existing EU REACH registrations to UK regulatory compliance

This role will be based in the London office, engaging with colleagues around the globe and working with the refining, marketing and commercial teams to ensure compliance with existing product regulations. You will be monitoring emerging UK and European legislation and coordinating timely and efficient implementation of compliance programmes for these relevant regulations.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs or health, safety, and environmental management within the energy or chemicals Industry

  • Knowledge of EU chemical control laws and associated product related regulations

  • An ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers, counterparties, suppliers, and consultants

  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset with the ability to work constructively across many diverse groups within the company
