Acre has been engaged by global real estate organisation to identify a new Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Manager to join one of their National Accounts Divisions. This is a home-based role, reporting into the MD. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who is both engaging and passionate, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider QHSE function.
The ideal candidate is someone who is curious and can positively engage the existing facilities management (FM) teams and establish a strong health and safety culture. This role operates across a multiple customer portfolio and will involve travel across the UK.
The key responsibilities of this role will be:
To implement, manage and review the QHSE plan for the division, including project delivery, in line with the Divisional Strategic QHSE plan
To provide guidance and practical expertise on Health, Safety and Environmental issues in addition to those of Quality, ensuring there is appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to both internal and external customers
To ensure compliance with all business-wide policy and strategy through management system audits
To lead and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of QHSE management
To ensure the development and maintenance of the training strategy for the Division, including project delivery, and support its delivery so as to enable appropriate standards of QHSE competence are achieved and maintained
You will have significant experience of operating at both managerial and operational levels ideally within an FM environment. You will also have strong client relationship management skills, excellent attention to detail and appreciation of the challenges of working within a large matrix corporate.
Required skills and Experience:
A formal management qualification in health and safety management (NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent).
Excellent motivational and influencing skills.
Generalist and strategic managerial experience at Health & Safety / Quality / Environmental Manager level is essential.
Risk management strategy development and implementation
Development and delivery of training.
Grad or CMIOSH is desirable
