The Regional Director will have overall regional responsibility for business performance in North America, driving business development, leading a passionate team and growing the company's presence in North America.
Drive business performance in the North American region by defining and implementing the regional go-to-market strategy and ensuring the Company has the resources and ability to deliver the results
Translate the Company's product offerings into a coherent and localized business strategy for North America
Directly lead, develop, coach and inspire a fast-growing team
Lead the identification and creation of new business opportunities to grow the Company's market presence, negotiate and close deals with existing and new clients, and coordinate deliverables with our implementation team
Identify cross functional gaps in our product offerings in North America, by collecting market feedback in a structured way, and proactively addressing these, in close collaboration with the implementation and marketing teams
Partner closely with the project development teams to ensure a close alignment between North American market demands and the company's existing portfolio of carbon credits / RECs
University degree in Environmental Sciences, Business or other relevant discipline
Senior commercial or business development leader with at least 12 years of relevant experience in sales roles, and at least 5 years in a people management capacity
Working experience in sustainability, or at least strong understanding of the most important pledges and drivers of the demand for climate action from corporates
Sound knowledge of at least one of the following topics: renewable energy, carbon markets, corporate responsibility, sustainable development or climate
Proven track record in relationship building and negotiation
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the specific needs of our clients in a fast-growing competitive market and translate these into compelling solutions that are commercially sound
Proven track record of managing cross-functional, high-performing, diverse, teams and successful experience in leading a team and achieving strong sales results through them
Experience in budget development and management
