Are you looking to leverage your experience in ESG and responsible investment in a fast-moving, Private Equity owned environment? This is a great opportunity to join an experienced and well established ESG team committed to bringing concrete ESG improvements across its portfolio companies in a variety of sectors.
Acre is working with a large investment fund, in the search for a Responsible Investments & ESG Associate to be based in Munich. In this newly created role, you will actively work with portfolio companies to implement ESG roadmaps, conduct reviews of the existing portfolio through performance measurements, and advise and due diligence coordination for new deals.
Your responsibilities:
Research on key ESG industry issues including developments in ESG regulation and investor ESG priorities
Gathering sustainability data, consolidating and managing all the insights in respect of impact and ESG
Following developments in ESG reporting (e.g., emissions methodologies) and ensuring the optimization of the internal reporting process
Supporting the deal team in respect of ESG analysis on potential investment targets
Engaging with deal teams and portfolio companies to ensure ESG implementation and value creation across the portfolio companies
Supporting in the communication and reporting to investors, regulators, and stakeholders
You'll need to work across a team with varying levels of maturity so a resilient and creative approach will serve you well. To ensure you thrive in your new role, you'll also bring:
3+ years of M&A experience, preferably within a private market's investor, strategy consulting or investment banking
Technical experience and/or an appreciation of conducting ESG reviews, due diligence assessments, monitoring and reporting
Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, plus communication and presentation skills
Good understanding of the investment process and the relevant deal milestones
Full proficiency in communicating in German in a business context (verbally & in writing)
