Senior Consultant - Climate Change Advisory Finance

An award-winning and global environmental and sustainability consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to drive performance across their climate change advisory team to financial services clients.

You will take a lead role working with leading organisations, delivering innovative solutions to the world's sustainability and climate change challenges. This position will fulfill both the role of managing and delivering engagements, whilst supporting growth in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advisory engagements to implement the recommendations on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

• Assisting clients to embed climate change within their risk management frameworks and strategic planning and implementation

• Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework development and implementation

• Project manage a portfolio of medium to large size advisory / due diligence engagements for finance sector client

• Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including completing proposals

• Analyse and interpret technical information to understand and articulate commercial consequences

Key Skills:

• Around 5+ years of experience working in finance, sustainability, or related field

• An understanding, and experience working in, or with, the finance sector combined with an understanding of ESG / sustainability issues relevant to the sectors in which clients invest in / lend to

• Good knowledge of the ESG reporting landscape, including an understanding of the TCFD recommendations, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), GRESB, Sustainable Development Goals, etc

• Expertise in climate change and the transition to a low carbon economy, in particular, the role that the private sector, capital markets and national policy plays in driving change
