Are you a passionate sustainability professional on a mission to tackle urgent ESG issues? We are seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Rio ESG to work alongside our rapidly growing team.

A passion for sustainability, knowledge, and a desire to be an expert is required for this role, and in return you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful ESG and sustainability strategies to drive systemic change across a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a first point of contact for clients across multiple sectors

  • Managing relationships across key external clients. Developing a role as a trusted adviser, across a range of projects

  • Challenging clients through their insights and analysis to develop bold programmes that capture the value of sustainability & ESG

  • Taking clients through the strategy development and implementation journey, designing well-crafted action plans and bringing the strategy to life

  • Data analysis, this will include the interrogation and manipulation of sustainability related datasets to provide key insights to our clients via our Rio platform

  • Participation in events and discussions - you will assist in the delivery of events from both an organisation and delivery perspective, including the delivery of presentations.

The successful candidate will have significant client and/or stakeholder management experience (ideally in a consultancy environment), including experience of working at a senior level to deliver complex solutions and managing different stakeholder expectations.

About You:

  • Currently working as a sustainability consultant, or have an in-house role developing your organisation's Carbon, EMS, ESG or CSR reports

  • Experience of one or more environmental framework: CDP, TCFD, GRI, GRESB, SASB, PRI etc.

  • A powerful analytical skill-set, with the ability to analyse complex datasets and information - identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in a sustainability discipline

  • Multi-lingual is once again desirable however not essential
