Are you a human rights and social issues expert looking for your next role with a financial services provider who places sustainability at the forefront of their business?

Our client is a leading UK life insurer and pension provider that is anchoring sustainability at the heart of its business. Throughout the past three years, Acre has supported this client in building its sustainability team and has been appointed to support the business with its next hire; a Senior Engagement Analyst specialised in human rights and social issues.

Sitting in the investment team and reporting directly to the Head of Stewardship, you will work alongside an established team of ESG experts who support a collaborative culture. As well-being is an integral part of the business' culture, you'll have 30 days annual leave, as well as flexible and home working.

Using the UN Global Compact & UN PRI standards, you will proactively research and engage with companies through direct and collaborative engagements with asset manager partners. A core part of your role will be working closely with targeted portfolio companies to establish due diligence, frameworks, and targets aligned to the Stewardship Team's human rights and social issues strategy.

You will be a human rights and social issues expert with strong investor engagement exposure, as well as a passion for making a difference. You will be able to apply your knowledge of thematic issues related to the asset managers' portfolios and support them in aligning with the business's human rights and social goals through engagement and data gathering.

You'll have/be:

  • An experienced human rights and social issues specialist with strong engagement experience within either an asset manager, an asset owner, or a specialised consultancy setting

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of human rights and social issues

  • Familiarity with existing service providers and NGOs frameworks to assess corporate performance on social issues

  • Demonstrable experience in effectively building formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organisation

  • Strong C-suite stakeholder management
