Acre is pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with an exciting, high profile property developer to identify their new Senior Environmental Manager. Reporting into the Head of Sustainability, our client is seeking a highly motivated, strategic and energetic individual to be responsible for the delivery of all environmental aspects of the sustainability strategy across the business, existing portfolio and development pipeline.

Some key objectives include;

  • Ensuring the on-time delivery of projects and supporting programmes to achieve activities, projects, targets, goals and commitments

  • Manage key stakeholders internal and external to the business

  • Manage the environmental resources internally

  • Work with the Sustainability team, Planning team, Communication & Marketing team, Asset Management, Development and PR and other areas of the business to deliver best outcomes

  • Manage and report on budgets and contribute to the development of Business Plans as required

The successful candidate will have strong communications and engagement skills combined with the ability to develop long-term working relationships. You will be highly adaptable and resilient to ensure success across a growing, fast-paced environment.

Key skills and Experience

The role involves managing a wide range of inter-related projects, tasks and teams and requires a commercial understanding, good communication skills and the ability to deliver programmes and activities on the ground as well as strategically.

  • This person will have excellent people management & communications skills, written and verbal, the ability to work independently, and an interest in engaging directly with diverse stakeholders. and under pressure

  • Budget and business planning

  • Environmental technical expertise, particularly in relation to aspects relating to the reduction of operation and embodied carbon

  • In depth understanding of current and upcoming environmental compliance/requirements

  • Postgraduate level qualified in a relevant qualification

  • Wide ranging interest in regeneration, community and urban development

  • Understanding of property development, commercial objectives and planning system
