Compassion in World Farming believes that everyone has the right to healthy food that does not involve cruelty, does not involve suffering, and does not destroy our planet.

As the internationally leading farm welfare charity, they collaborate with some of the world's biggest food companies, all on the mission to drive towards an ethical and sustainable food supply.

Now in a phase of growth and development, they are seeking a Senior Food Business Manager to join them to support across account management, commercial activities, and relationship development.

In this role, you will be:

  • Using a proactive approach to help influence global, EU, and UK food businesses to improve animal welfare. Through having a consultative and sincere sales approach, you will be building and maintaining relations with partners and accounts.

  • Integrating ethical vision and sustainability into your corporate outreach, creating clear business cases for change. You will facilitate wider commercial discussions externally and implement a commercial roadmap to help CIWF reach its goals.

  • Representing CIWF, supporting working groups, enabling connections, and encouraging further expansion into new areas based on your network and market knowledge.

  • Managing a team of two Food Business Managers, who you will effectively oversee and push for their own development and growth areas within the team.

Compassion in World Farming focuses on not only ethics within farming but also the environmental impacts. With multiple projects centred around re-thinking food and exploring solutions for a humane, sustainable future, they are seeking someone open-minded to new ways of growing further.

You already have:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of sales, marketing, account management, or communications with a passion for ethics, sustainability, or food supply chains.

  • An efficient approach to managing relations and the skill of thinking and acting quickly on sometimes complex tasks. You may be juggling multiple projects at once with varying deadlines.

  • The ability to negotiate, influence, and explain to a variety of audiences (mainly external, but often internal too).

If you feel you match some of the requirements for this opportunity but not all, you should apply. Compassion in World Farming prides itself on its diversity and inclusion, and there is no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate.

If you are confident that you can add value and are motivated to join this unique, sustainable organisation, apply or reach out to ruth.smith@acre.com with any inquiries.
