This is a key hire for a global investment management group seeking an experienced Research Analyst who can directly contribute to the growth of their specialist responsible investment boutique via the development and delivery of superior and actionable sustainability insights for investment teams, firmly connected to both impact and financial value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead collaborative research projects on material sustainability themes

  • Undertake and peer review stock analysis focused on sustainability investment insights and assessment of real world impact

  • Actively contribute subject matter expertise, understanding of emerging sustainability trends and best practice in support of investment teams, the group's responsible investment strategy, client relationships and corporate practice more generally

  • Engage with investee companies, both independently and in conjunction with investment teams

  • Present research findings and outcomes of engagement to clients, prospects and other audiences

  • Present at conferences, events and client events on responsible investing, investment markets and portfolio construction

Experiences sought:

  • Excellent understanding of ESG, sustainable, responsible and impact investment (and the differentiation of types of responsible investment), relevant frameworks, legislation and taxonomies

  • Curious and pro-active, with an ability to adapt, learn, problem solve and seek out and welcome alternative views

  • Pro-active with a continuous improvement mindset and entrepreneurial, with a desire to help build a differentiated, innovative business

  • Flexibility, willingness and ability to work across global time zones and travel (as required)
