A real estate membership organisation is looking to hire a Senior Sustainability Programme Manager. This organization is made up of the UK's leading property owners who are collaborating to improve sustainability across their portfolios.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and oversea a range of programmes, engage with investors and lenders, develop common approaches to measuring, benchmarking and reporting, support asset managers and property developers to deliver sustainability programmes across existing properties, together with developing guidance and educational materials for the members.

​

You will have a strong understanding of sustainability issues across commercial east estate or the wider build environment sector, with experience in climate change and net zero.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the long-term business strategy, operational plan and overall management of the business.

  • Leading the strategy and implementation across major workstreams.

  • Contributing to, and managing the delivery of, a wide range of outputs including Thought Leadership Papers, Industry Insights, Toolkits and Guidance.

  • Managing and supporting members of the Executive team to deliver the operational plan.

  • Managing projects to financial budgets

  • Actively engaging with the members and thought leaders within the sector to inform and execute the work programmes.

  • Leading project communications strategies and contributing to outputs including press releases, blogs, web site content etc.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with the different types of real estate portfolios and investment vehicles and how this influence sustainability and ESG strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of climate change and net zero and is able to translate the strategic implications of these issues for large portfolios of real assets.

  • Familiar with ESG benchmarking and rating tools / initiatives such as GRESB, CDP, BREEAM, REEB, NABERS UK, EPCs etc.

  • Comfortable with analysing and interpreting ESG & sustainability data across large portfolios.

  • Has excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with attention to detail and the ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear, well-structured and engaging content.
