Role overview

The purpose of this role is to build, lead and enhance the Global Reporting function within Dentsu. The successful candidate will be the "go-to" person for performance, data, analysis, and narrative for social impact globally. In addition, the candidate will lead and support future reporting automation, the reporting cycle and the production of the annual report.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the data processing, analysis and narrative for social impact - globally

  • Delivers annual reporting process, including data collection, ensuring high-quality submission for audit

  • Embeds and influences the sustainability and social impact strategy within the business and across operations

  • Works across the global network to ensure the timely supply of social impact and sustainability KPIs and to align our sustainability and financial reporting efforts

  • Transforms the approach to reporting to a digital format and delivers a new interactive online reporting platform that is adaptable to stakeholder needs

  • Leads work with rating agencies such as DJSI, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), GRI, Ecovadis, Sedex, etc. and become the business' 'go-to' expert on stakeholder materiality expectations

  • Collaborates with Marketing & Communications to ensure progress is effectively communicated to build employee engagement, brand and reputation

  • Manages and delivers against the social impact team annual plan and embeds performance metrics to measure team performance

  • Supports best-in-class evaluation and performance across the business on programmes and solutions

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Data Analytics/Science or Business

  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and provide detailed and strategic performance narrative

  • Previously worked in senior corporate reporting roles

  • Preferably have knowledge of key sustainability challenges, including net-zero strategies, climate change risk, emerging ESG requirements and legislation

  • Forensic attention to detail, since corporate disclosure will be externally verified

  • Ideally, with a relevant professional and/or sustainability qualification

  • Confidence in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability and agility to ruthlessly prioritise

  • Ability to apply logic and experience to new scenarios to give credible, pragmatic solutions, narrative and support to the annual reporting cycle

  • Track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships and partnerships with leadership teams and external organisations

  • Strong communicator

  • Experience of working across multi-market international organisations or demonstrable evidence of supporting non-UK activity would be desirable

  • Strong data, reporting, numerical, analytical and strategy skillset

Logistics

Dentsu is operating a hybrid approach to flexible working, with a general expectation of working from the office 2-3 days a week at times when restrictions are lifted. The role is based out of the London office and reports to the Global Programme Director.
