The Responsible Jewellery Council is the standards setting and certification organisation for the jewellery supply chain. With more than 1,000 Member companies and growing rapidly, RJC span the entire jewellery supply chain from mining to retail. The organisation works with businesses of all sizes to instigate step change towards sustainably sourced and produced materials.

Acre is supporting the search for a Standards Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Standards Manager withthe development of the sustainability certification process and engaging with members to support their technical queries and sustainability ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Membership communications to effectively consult on standards implementation

  • Providing technical support and guidance to RJC members and stakeholders

  • Managing the on-going reporting requirements of ISEAL in collaboration with the Assurance Manager

  • Developing tools to support the delivery of membership and audit training

  • Developing and contributing to case studies, reports,updatesand website information related to standards

The successful candidate will play a key role in the supporting the RJC's commitment to continuous improvement, providing a common standard for responsible business practices from mine to retail and improving ethical, social, human rights and environmental conditions.

Experience Required:

  • Experience working with ethical and sourcing standards, focused on environmental and social issues

  • Experience of supply chain initiatives and working with multi-stakeholder committees

  • High proficiency in verbal and written English, with the ability to communicate complex technical terms to a wide variety of audiences

  • A detail oriented, methodical approach supported by a high-level understanding of sustainability issues such as business ethics, environmental impact, labour and working conditions responsible sourcing and human rights

  • Ability to speak French, Italian, and other languages is beneficial

This position would suit a decisive and confident sustainability specialist with 2-4years experiencelooking to uphold high levels of integrity within global supply chains across one of the mosthigh riskindustries in the world.
