As a Sustainability Analyst you will:
Track client's certified and sustainability program purchases and sales
Provide support on the management of suppliers and clients
Facilitate program implementation (drafting reports, grant proposals, etc.)
In your work, you will support milestones for their clients and create real on the ground impact for local communities and farmers.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Manage Rainforest Alliance certified position
Track Third- Party Verified volume activity
Allocate third party verified volume to bean sales and return butter purchases as required
Track shipments as they are executed
Premium verification
Once agreed with clients, Confirm final budgets and premiums per metric tonnes
Convert bean volume to butter and adjust premiums accordingly
Coordinate any necessary FX hedging on premiums
Maintain a balanced budget for each program
Help the Sustainability team in reporting and managing relationship with clients and stakeholders, including:
Providing support in the drafting and review of clients' reports, responses to questionnaires and ad-hoc queries, and other documents for internal / external stakeholders
Supporting the Sustainability team in managing relationship and interactions with US based clients
Supporting the drafting of internal and external newsletters related to cocoa sustainability
Drafting of synthetic memos of research articles, reports and other relevant documentation published on cocoa sustainability, upon request
Provide high-level overview on trends, research and innovations in cocoa sustainability -
Assist the person leading regulatory compliance of Client, specifically with regards to traceability of the cocoa supply chain
Desired Education Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or higher degree in agronomy, sustainability, environmental sciences, agricultural economics, or other relevant fields related studies
One to two years' experience in a position that requires analysis, preferably in the area of sustainability and/or the agri-business sector
Experience working in sustainability and a strong knowledge of sustainability topics, such as voluntary standards, human rights, greenhouse gas emissions, regenerative agriculture, etc.
