Acre is currently working with a not-for-profit membership organisation within the energy and extractives sector, working towards a global responsible supply chain by assessing their members to understand, manage and mitigate the Environmental, Social and Governance risks in their supply chain.

Acre is looking for a Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement Lead who will be responsible for both internal and external communications with Members, the Producer Network and the Board of Directors. You will be working closely with the Executive Director to create high-quality communication pieces for the organisation and country working groups.

In this role you will be:

  • Maintaining communications on the website, LinkedIn and via newsletters, presentations, annual reports, and webinars

  • Creating compelling and effective communications with members and the energy-producing network

  • Building partnerships, initiatives, and joint work programmes with key organisations

  • Leading group sessions and webinars, attending conferences and industry-relevant webinars to create a flow of knowledge across the team on the latest best practices, debates, and challenges in ESG and sustainability activities

Engagement Lead you will be a dynamic and motivated communication and stakeholder engagement professional who is passionate about helping to continually improve performance across the breadth of the ESG framework.

You will also have:

  • Experience creating engaging communications, including those for social media and corporate documents

  • Proven project management experience

  • Strong knowledge of managing, maintaining and updating websites either managing external agencies or delivering yourself

  • Ideally some knowledge of standards, certifications, assurance processes, associations and frameworks eg the UN SDGs, ICMM, GRI etc.
