Are you looking for more responsibility in your next role? Do you enjoy building relationships and working with leaders in their field? If so, we're partnering with a really exciting membership body that is actively seeking to effect positive change for one of the environments most contemporary issues, plastics. You will be pivotal in actioning sustainable development amongst your partners, helping shape their response to key issues surrounding the industry.

You will consult on multiple issues within the plastics industry, operating across the corporate sector, and government at both a local and national level.

You will be responsible for:

  • Account management and maintenance of member relationships

  • Working as the organisation's in-house expert on sustainability and environmental issues including recycling, marine litter, waste management and legislation

  • Conducting research and creating projects for adoption across the industry to improve plastics recycling

  • Organising marketing and communications campaigns and public affairs strategies as well as building excellent internal relationships at a senior level

  • Co-ordinating the development of the Sustainability Committee and be responsible for the delivery of Committee meetings

Your background:

  • Sustainability experience with exposure to the plastics or recycling industry

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to relay technical information to a range of stakeholders

  • Well organised with disciplined project management skills

  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing landscape and keep abreast of legislation
