As part of PDG's revised strategy and evolving consumer preferences, PDG is on a journey to transform and further develop its corporate sustainability and responsibility (CSR) function with aspirations to become a leading company in its industry when it comes to sustainability/ESG. In order to be able to achieve this, PDG is hiring a Sustainability Manager.

Main tasks & responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in the definition, creation and realization of our ambitious ESG program to become a leading company in our industry, consisting of 2 levels together

  • 'Do now what we can do now' - OPERATIONAL EXECUTION

  • Collaborate with respective operating companies, to realize the ESG goals, improvements and actions that have been defined already

  • Lead and support projects on ESG as defined in our ESG analysis and plans, together with the operating companies

  • Develop and implement KPI framework on ESG with leading KPI's for our stakeholders

  • 'Think about the future' - STRATEGIC THINKING

  • Monitor potential impact of electrification on our businesses

  • Develop (new) opportunities in electrification that we can pursue

  • Develop overview of potential risks (and impact) on compliance (license to operate) across our operating companies

  • Develop plan on which risks to mitigate by when and how

  • Mitigate risks and support the embedding of the required certification standards and compliance with our products (e.g. REACH, CE, ILT)

  • Where applicable, have contact with external parties like utility companies, ILT, suppliers in relation to sustainability

  • Lead the design and implementation of specific internal capabilities, systems, processes and protocols required to ensure compliance standards, policies and regulations.

  • Promote sustainability compliance, and be at the forefront of building a high performance, quality culture including setting and meeting clear and decisive goals aligned to business strategies, budget management and controls.

  • Ensure program compliance by leading internal audits for defined areas, including defining and prioritizing audit plans based on risk evaluations, establishing an audit, conducting field audits, submitting audit reports, presenting audit findings and ensuring corrective actions are fulfilled.

  • Identify trends, engaging with external stakeholder and keeping program knowledge current as regulations change over time to identify potential business impact.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
