Helios Towers has partnered with Acre to appoint a Sustainability Manager to develop strategy and build structure around the company's sustainability and corporate responsibility practices. This individual will report into the Director of Sustainability & Organisational Development, and play a key role in establishing Helios Towers as a thought leader in this space.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the SLT to inform and guide decisions on market and investor needs regarding the ever changing ESG and responsible business landscape

  • Heading up work and engagement with ratings agencies, becoming the business' go-to expert on materiality topics

  • Leading the annual sustainability reporting process, including data collection, ensuring high quality submissions to external indices

  • Collaborating with the comms and marketing teams to ensure progress is effectively communicated internally to build employee engagement and externally for brand enhancement purposes

  • Horizon scanning for potential risks and opportunities and identifying priority areas for development

You'll have a comprehensive understanding of UK Corporate Governance Code, UN SDGs, key reporting mechanisms such as GRI and SASB, and the TCFD, taking responsibility for a holistic suite of sustainability themes, from Gender Equality and Diversity, to Carbon Footprint Disclosures.

You will have:

  • Experience of working in a strategic corporate sustainability role within a listed business

  • Strong knowledge of corporate sustainability, CR reporting indexes, materiality assessments and annual reporting

  • An ability to establish appropriate goals, sub-goals and KPIs, paired with exceptional stakeholder management skills; able to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong organisational, planning and project management skills with a structured, tenacious and self-motivated approach to success

  • Experience of working in an organisation operating within emerging markets or infrastructure/telecommunications would be of particular interest

This is a fantastic opportunity to own, develop, implement and manage the sustainability strategy for an international and growing organisation. You'll work closely with industry partners and key internal and external stakeholders create and manage a sustainability framework fitting for a FTSE250 operating in developing markets.
