Acre is working with a global FTSE250 real estate services provider to source a Sustainability Manager to be based within its Property Division.
The role will require the Sustainability Manager to lead on key deliverables with regards to environmental and sustainability activities across property management and occupier services. This role will feed into thought leadership and knowledge sharing to expand the client base and service lines.
The successful candidate will have a holistic knowledge of sustainability and the wider environmental, social and governance issues for the built environment. This can include experience in ESG strategy, environmental management, energy management, waste initiatives, ISO 14001, behaviour change / occupier engagement, sustainable procurement, travel planning and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities:
Working across the entire portfolio supporting a range of clients with their individual sustainability strategies, reporting and data management requirements
Implementing and managing ISO 14001 systems and supporting on other ISO systems as required, likely to include ISO 50001
Overseeing site specific projects as appropriate, such as indoor air quality and green building certifications
Acting as point of contact and project interface for external consultancy teams managing ESOS, SECR and Environmental Management Reporting
Leading GRESB Real Estate Assessment projects, gap analysis and BREEAM In-Use assessments
Developing new business, pitching to clients and responding to bids
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer and client engagement skills, acting as a sole advisor to several high-profile clients on a regular basis and helping them to achieve their corporate and asset level objectives.
Skills required:
Technical knowledge of Sustainability / Environmental Management / Environmental Legislation / Environmental Science / Energy Management
Working experience of applying sustainability in the property sector
Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong report writing abilities
Desirable experience includes, leading on projects and mentoring individuals within a team
