About the role
In light of achieving their goal in providing a better and more sustainable future, the general purpose of this position is to drive the implementation of sustainable product solutions and strategy through direct customer consultancy, product development, and internal technical consultancy. The Sustainability Manager has a key role in fostering sustainability-related innovation within CFLEX's Pharma Division. The position holder strengthens the organization in terms of knowledge exchange and best practice sharing, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and coordinating all relevant product related sustainability activities with the sales business units and operations.
Responsibilities
Developing, implementing and monitoring the portfolio strategy with regards to sustainability in Pharma
Drives customer relevant sustainable innovations and product development in the Pharma Division
Introduces and implements new products at our customers with the local Sales and Technical teams, as well as leads the resolution of key sustainable issues with customers
Supports direct sales in customer visits through technical presentations / expertise to reach customers´ sustainability goals
Transforms our sustainability solutions into business
Sharing expertise with regards to sustainability across the Pharma sales and technical organization, keeping the sales and technical community informed about the sustainability portfolio
Acts as first point of contact for internal and external sustainability-related questions and matters in Pharma
Works towards finding new, innovative and sustainable products in strong alignment with key interfaces (e.g. R&D department)
Coordinates product related sustainability initiatives within CFLEX. Measures and steers sustainable product related performance
Performs market intelligence studies (market & competitive intelligence) regarding material, machinery suppliers and end-customer needs together with the customer, R&D, Sustainability, internal Sales and technical teams
Cooperation with external organizations (customers, suppliers, research institutes etc.) in order to find new product related approaches
Represents special interests of the Pharma Division outside of CFLEX (lobbying)
Who are you?
Experience in Business Development and Sales & Marketing
Demonstrated 5 years of experience in a Pharma related industry with sustainability responsibility
Proven track record in delivering projects in large international organizations
Experience in developing sustainable solutions (e.g. knowledge of evaluation methods and certification ratings)
Technical mindset and background, preferably holding a packaging engineering degree/diploma or material scientist or expert or equivalent
Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), ability to moderate workshops
Project management skills will be an advantage
High proficiency in English language, proficiency in German will be an advantage
Passionate about sustainability
Willingness to travel occasionally
