Our client, one of Europe's largest listed real estate investment companies is on a search for a senior-level hire to be responsible for leading and implementing sustainability strategy across their standing portfolio. You will be focused on operational performance at the asset level, supporting asset and property management teams in all aspects of sustainability management, including the delivery of asset-level net-zero pathways and wider sustainability KPIs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of corporate and asset-specific targets in line with 2030 Strategy and Sustainability brief requirements with a particular focus on ensuring the standing portfolio achieves net-zero by 2030

  • Deliver the asset-specific net zero pathway across both commercial office and shopping centre assets, including the development and delivery of processes to report, monitor and reduce operational embodied carbon

  • Lead on the delivery of other sustainability-related actions across the standing portfolio, including circular economy projects, biodiversity frameworks/action plans and water efficiency initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience of NABERS and BREEAM

  • Engineering experience with the ability to review whole building M&E systems, knowledge of BMS and EMS systems

  • Good knowledge of embodied carbon reporting, SBTIs, RICS and whole-life carbon assessments
