Sustainability Solutions Director

Acre is delighted to be working in partnership with a professional management firm, who have a reputation as a global leader in their industry to identify a new Sustainability Solutions Director.

This newly created strategic hire will lead the growth of a sustainability focused business unit, with the aim of delivering world class energy, waste and carbon services across the organisation's global portfolio.

We are looking for a commercial leader, with extensive knowledge across the sustainability sector to focus on the growth and delivery of environmental programmes, from social value and net-zero carbon through to energy and environmental management.

Job Requirements:

• Supporting the new Sustainability Units ambitious growth plans through delivery of world class sustainability services

• Maintaining strong relationships with new potential customers and developing a sector focused pipeline of qualified opportunities

• Leading opportunity assessment meetings to resource and project manage the proposal / bid process, developing a matrix of owners

• Developing and submitting winning commercial solutions, bid proposals and presentations to both internal and external audiences

• Liaising with global counterparts to share ideas for sustainability proposal concepts and sharing of best practice with the global team

As a key member of the sustainability units Senior Leadership Team the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward and helping to deliver and shape the sustainability and net-zero strategies.

• A recognised commercial leader in the sustainability market with a successful track record in sustainability, consultancy and sales

• Experience of leading and growing a sustainability consulting team or a sustainability function

• Ability to raise the profile of the business unit and market yourself both internally and externally

• Demonstrable experience of shaping customer strategies and implementing successful programmes

• Extensive knowledge of the sustainability sector covering compliance, energy/environmental management, social value and net zero
