Acre is partnered with a market leading Hospitality company to recruit an experienced Sustainable Sourcing Lead for a 12-14 month Maternity cover Fixed term contract to start ASAP. This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team within of the market's leading hospitality brands!

This role is pivotal in delivering our ambition to reduce the impact we have on the planet through our menu and become the most sustainable restaurant brand in the UK.

This senior role will join an established Sustainability Team and is responsible for ensuring consistent sustainability support to the Product team particularly the Category Leads. The Sustainable Sourcing Lead will ensure we meet our ambitious food policy, reduce the carbon impact of our menu and understand the impact of our waste and packaging within our supply chain to make real change in collaboration with our suppliers. In addition, the role will lead our ambitions to champion regenerative agriculture within our supply chain and implement our holistic soy strategy in conjunction with our Main's Category Lead."

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) are:

  • Forming a key role in a cross functional team to reduce the impact our business has on the planet and drive sustainability improvements in our supply chain with a particular focus on our food supply chain.

  • Collaborating closely with new and existing supply chain partners through producing individual action plans to help Category Leads hold suppliers reduce the environmental impact of our products

  • Ensuring a consistent approach to sustainability across all 4 categories to deliver improvements empowering the Category Sustainability Manager to deliver change within the agreed framework

  • Working on specific projects in areas of particular importance to create an impact

  • You will be the sustainability SME for the food policy ensuring the business is still being progressive and integrating it within the action plans for suppliers to drive change

Experience needed:

  • Experienced in sustainability, with a focus on food systems, sourcing and carbon reduction across the value chain

  • A natural style that brings sustainability to life with confidence that influences and inspires change within the company and within our supplier base

  • Ability to work systematically and you are comfortable with both data collection and analysis to make change

  • Experienced in project management and delivering change projects

  • Open-minded & collaborative

  • Able to manage own time and operate without close supervision

  • A relevant degree and demonstrable experience within sustainability and supply chain
