Do you currently work in Sustainable and Circular Design and would love to work for an international, luxury fashion retailer? Do you understand circulatory and sustainable materials from an architectural perspective?

This newly created role within a super-premium fashion retailer, is focused on their boutique architecture, visual merchandising, events and promotional displays. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of their London HQ, reporting into a Head of Sustainability and Circular Economy.

Throughout the business there is a dedication to sustainability and circular design and the role will allow this person to get exposure to wider sustainability strategy and development.

The opportunity

  • Development of global policies, guidelines and methodologies on topics such as sustainable and circular design for the company's retail activity. A focus will be on boutique architecture, events, visual merchandising and promotional displays and sustainable materials.

  • Training, educating and awareness raising with the operational teams, acting as an internal expert on sustainable and circular design.

  • Environmental impact analysis for retail design projects, conducting life cycle assessments and looking at circularity metrics, including ad-hoc calculations as well as developing standardised tools for operational teams to conduct their own analyses.

  • Deployment and ongoing management of global programmes, including leading steering committees, managing specific implementation projects and tracking performance.

  • Stakeholder coordination and engagement, acting as a central hub for sustainable and circular design programmes across the company's international markets.

  • Building a network of external partners, capable of supporting the business in achieving its internal objectives, as well as influencing positive change within the broader industry.

You will have

  • Extensive project management experience, dealing with internal and external stakeholders and varying levels of seniority.

  • In-depth technical knowledge in product eco-design and sustainable materials, with a particular understanding from an architectural perspective.

  • Proven experience of methodologies and tools for conducting life cycle assessments or other product-level environmental impact assessments.

  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to translate detailed technical information in a concise and easy to understand format.

  • An outgoing, friendly personality, someone that is emotionally intelligent and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
