Acre is thrilled to partner with Rolls Royce Power Systems to identify a new Systems Architect - Marine.



Rolls Royce Power Systems delivers and services powerful and reliable systems to infrastructure and marine sectors, based on both gas and diesel engines as well as electrified hybrid systems. They provide world-class power solutions under their product and solution brand, MTU, which are cleaner and smarter, meeting the growing societal demands for energy and mobility.

Based in Germany, this new Systems Architect - Marine will build concepts for hydrogen solutions of maritime hybrid systems. This person will be responsible for:

  • Technical concepts within renewable maritime driving systems based on Hydrogen

  • Developing of electrical driving systems of ships

  • Analysis of grid compatibility for purchase

  • Project management and planning individual measures (including checking the profitability, supply offers and obtaining official approvals)

  • Technical processing with regard to the project, quality, and cost control

  • Independently managing the delivery of special projects

  • Responsible for the electrical system architecture of the sustainable drive solutions

To be successful in this role, they will have:

  • Successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of maritime applications and ship propulsion systems

  • Several years of professional experience and in-depth specialist knowledge in the area of ​​marine systems, preferably in the propulsion area (fuel cell, methanol system, eFuels)

  • Experience of working independently and analytically, a high degree of initiative and a willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics

  • Very good German and good English skills

  • Entrepreneurial and economic thinking

  • Customer focus
