Upstream Operations Lead

The Upstream Operations Lead will strengthen and build the international network of plastic waste aggregators, transporters and processors for the Plastic Credit Exchange.

You will actively seek partnerships with different international and local government agencies, private and socio-civic organizations who are keen to join the growing movement providing solutions to the plastic pollution crisis. The operations partners shall be compliant with the PCX's Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard, the respective country's regulations, as well as any international standards which emerge as this space evolves. The Upstream Operations Lead shall oversee the vetting of the partners and their continuous compliance. You will be working with cross-functional teams and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Build an extensive network of partners working on plastic waste collection, transport and processing.

• Conduct vetting of prospect partners in coordination with the Standards and Compliance Manager and the selected audit partners.

• Develop operating systems and standardization that delivers efficiencies covering technical, financial and impact metrics that supports PCX's circular economy model.

• Ensure that a complete, best practice set of internal and external regulatory documents (such as policies, manuals, procedures, job descriptions, etc) exists and is modified/updated as needed.

• Communicate PCX's standards and requirements to various stakeholders.
