Acre is partnered with a family office dedicated to promoting a humane and healthy planet throughout their foundation, venture and growth equity groups. This firm is looking for a VP ESG who will be responsible for investment research and portfolio construction analysis for public markets investments (equities and fixed income).

This is an exciting opportunity for an impact investment analyst who is interested in advancing the firm's ESG agenda and establishing best practices.!

You work will include fund manager due diligence and investment monitoring with an environmental, social and governance and impact investing lens, while also playing an important role in constructing, implementing and evaluating the organization's role in shareholder engagement activities and developing and executing a new impact measurement and management framework.

Responsibilities

  • Source, conduct due diligence and monitor new public markets (equities and fixed income) ESG and thematically aligned (e.g., clean energy, food and agriculture, oceans and aquaculture) investments, mostly through third party managers and funds

  • Monitor and develop an opinion of current public markets (equities and fixed income) ESG investments in the portfolios

  • Lead the development of new, innovative ESG public markets products and offerings, in conjunction with fund managers and other sector-leading intermediaries

  • Lead all qualitative and quantitative assessments of ESG public markets investments

  • Collaborate on the continuation of a cross-office impact measurement and management framework that incorporates ESG factors and considerations

Qualifications

  • A university degree with a record of high achievement

  • A CFA or MBA is preferred

  • Demonstrable interest in ESG and impact investing

  • 8+ years of work experience in ESG investing, manager research, and/or portfolio management

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills

  • Experience and comfort with Bloomberg, eVestment and/or Factset

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: must be able to write full investment due diligence, investment recommendations and other related investment memorandums.
