Get notified

This breakfast roundtable event, hosted by Acre, the recruitment firm for a safe, sustainable future and G-III Apparel Group, will explore the challenges facing senior sustainability professionals in building and delivering a robust sustainability agenda. This will be a collaborative session attended by senior stakeholders from a range of sectors, working within influential and impactful organizations.

A focal point of the discussion will arise from a recent research paper released by Acre entitled, “The case for the Social Board (and how to build one),” The report highlights five actions boards can take to connect with society:

  • Improving board diversity
  • The creation of Stakeholder Advisory Panels
  • Deep Immersion Processes
  • The appointment of Chief Society Officers
  • Social Non-Executive Directors joining the board

If you want to know more about this exciting event, taking place in Manhattan on the 11th April 2018 between 8.30am – 10.30am, please contact Michael Kelsall, Senior Search Advisor at
michael.kelsall@acre.com or +1 617 861 4461.

During the session, we’ll be looking at, how is sustainability best placed within an organization for maximum impact?

  • Many companies place sustainability within the organization in different ways. What are the most effective models? What are some emerging trends?
  • Does sustainability as a function belong on a stand-alone sustainability team, or should it be fully embedded within an organization?
  • As it becomes embedded, what specialized skill sets need to be addressed?
  • How should sustainability be positioned within an organization to foster the most overall impact?

After the session, Acre will share perspectives from both their research and day-to-day experience.
