Acre had been retained by a global leader in solar technology in supporting both their domestic and international growth across engineering and operations.

Our client delivers highly engineered premium solar technology to leading utilities, developers and IPP's in their efforts to develop top performing utility-scale solar projects.

With significant growth across the business stemming from client demand, a competitive and high quality product suite as well as strong private equity backing, we are seeking innovative engineering talent with strong communication skills to help bolster the growth while maintaining the quality in engineering expected from both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Beyond the general growth at hand, activity has been particularly centred on Latin American projects, with a significant pipeline established and a substantial increase in client activity.

As such our client is seeking a strong LatAm Application Engineer who can combine the technical abilities of an engineer with the customer service mindset of a business development manager to support and manage growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance in support of the Sales/BD teams in Latin America.

  • Work diligently as primary technical point of contact to large EPC's, Developers, IPPs and Utilities across the region.

  • Ensure engineering and operations functions are leveraged to best effect in order to drive a smooth and successful customer experience from pre sales through to development & construction.

Other key responsibilities and areas of knowledge required are: quoting, pricing, drafting, structural calculations, corrosion analysis, site criteria analysis, seismic analysis, code compliance and contract document generation.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Electrical or equivalent

  • Minimum 4 years engineering experience, plus 2+ years of experience in a Sales or a customer facing-role.

  • Experience in the solar, renewables, or power generation equipment market is MUST.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
