This is an opportunity to join a passionate team of sustainable investors at a global investment management group. The client director will and help build, support, and provide relationship management to institutional clients who are existing or potential clients for the suite of sustainable equity funds which currently have over £10bn AUM.

Reporting to the Head of Client Management, this role will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients and finding new likeminded investors as well as representing the group in internal client related forums and external industry forums and conferences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of the Team to deliver a global client institutional engagement strategy and actively manage relationships with institutional clients, likeminded prospects and consultants.

  • Coordinate all sales activity, collating information for pitches, data specific queries and coordinate with internal teams such as the Investment Team, marketing, legal etc. for completion of RFPs and DDQs.

  • Directly manage client relationships and attend client meetings with or without a member of the investment team.

  • Develop close working relationships with the Investment Team and all other global internal

  • Represent the company at forums, conferences and on professional bodies to build the company's reputation as a market leading sustainable investment group.

Experiences sought:

  • A passion for, and demonstrated experience in, Sustainable Investing.

  • Educated to Degree-level with an appropriate industry-relevant qualification.

  • A proven record of successful business development and client service in the asset management industry across regions.

  • The ability to 'self-start', acting on behalf of a team largely based in in multiple global locations, taking ownership for business development, plans, tasks and deadlines.

  • Ability to work with global internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrable ability to build high levels of trust, rapport and communicate in a friendly and effective manner.

  • Proven ability to work in a very flat management structure (no hierarchy) collaboratively
