We're looking for a highly numerate Investment Analyst who is comfortable working with senior stakeholders and asset managers to further develop a ground-breaking ESG-centric DC pensions offering. Our client is a well-funded, rapidly growing fin-tech disrupting the UK pensions market by delivering NetZero investment portfolios directly to consumers.
As a founding member of the in-house investment office, you will be working with the executive team to use advanced stochastic modelling techniques to feed into the business' climate-tilted investment strategies. You'll gain exposure to both conventional financial modelling and state-of-the-art climate analysis techniques.
Specific responsibilities:
Financial modelling - Using the business' stochastic model to analyse the expected returns and volatility of a range of investment products, and using this to feed into the portfolio construction process.
Climate investment analysis - Using emissions data to carbon price portfolios and ensure compliance with TCFD regulations
Engaging with advisors - Managing consultant relations, sense-checking modelling output from various sources
Business development - Liaising with Marketing to produce business development material based on outcomes from investment strategy reviews
Report writing - drafting thought leadership pieces around sustainable & Impact investing
Skills Required:
Strong stochastic modelling experience
Comfortable engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, from Tech to Marketing to fund managers and clients.
A natural curiosity to really understand how things work and why they do what they do
Experience working with sustainable/ ESG integrated products is a bonus
Strong attention to detail
Actuarial background preferable
