Acre are delighted to be partnering with Naked Energy, the innovative solar technology company, to lead the search for a brand-new Commercial Director to join their Senior Leadership Team.
At the core of Naked Energy's offering is Virtu® a unique solar technology with the potential to revolutionise distributed heating, cooling and power provision. Having won numerous awards from the Sunday Times, Shell, BEIS, and the European Institute of Innovation, Naked Energy have recently secured £5.25M in investment from environmental fund manager Earthworm Group.
This significant growth capital has sparked the need for an entirely new sales team to drive the global commercialisation of its products. The Commercial Director, reporting into the CEO, will take a lead role across all commercial operations and play a critical role in the global growth strategy for the company.
Engaging the strategic partners and customers to build lasting relationships in target markets that maximise the revenue opportunity
Ensuring all commercial contractual agreements result in value creation, whilst meeting the legal and financial frameworks to operate successfully in the target markets
Leading the fledgling internal sales team and developing/refining the sales approach by attracting the best talent and enabling the sales team to succeed
Refining the core technology, value proposition and competitive edge by developing multiple feedback loops to ensure Naked Energy remain ahead of the field
You will be a key representative of Naked Energy at conferences, industry events and shareholder meetings, with global travel to locations such as Hawaii and Caribbean
This role will grow the sales team and position Naked Energy as a leader in solar heat and power worldwide, delivering a sustainable revenue stream and exponential growth. The commercial heat and power sectors are a $220 billion market opportunity.
Successful creation and execution of a commercial vison, from market identification through to supply and distribution on a global scale
A consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets
Industry knowledge within sustainable energy, from a solar technology or similar hardware background (i.e. CHP, HVAC, Cooling), ideally combined with a strong network in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) sector
Proven experience of scaling small companies & start-ups, inspiring growth through talent attraction and retention, taking full account ability for P&L and team commissions
A passion and drive to address the growing demand of industries to meet their sustainability agendas
