We're supporting Associated British Foods (ABF) as the company looks to further expand its innovative CR Hub with the appointment of a Reporting Manager.

At ABF, Corporate Responsibility (CR) provides a framework for the relationship between company, society and the environment that strengthens its businesses and creates opportunity and value over time - to become better businesses. This role will be part of ABF's recently created CR Hub. The role of the CR Hub is to provide additional support and advice to ABF, its divisions and businesses, to develop and implement their CR strategies, to further enable shared learning and networking, and to use best practice reporting to drive improvement and demonstrate impact.

In this role, you will lead on group level reporting, ensuring that ABF's reporting systems and processes are matching the ambitions of the business. You will also take responsibility for supporting the businesses and functions to become best in class; to be successful in this, you will need to build a strong network of colleagues in all areas of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and project manage the CR reporting systems and processes, liaising with the businesses, consultants and designers to produce impactful and representative communication

  • Develop the CR content of the ABF annual report, responsibility update and website

  • Coordinate the ABF responses to CR / ESG rating agencies and investor queries, NGOs and other voluntary external stakeholder bodies

  • Support the delivery of compliance with CR-related regulatory reporting, for example the Modern Slavery Act

  • Manage the assurance systems and processes of key CR data and information used in the public domain

  • Periodic tracking and internal reporting of Division / Business CR commitments, progress and actions against planned milestones

  • Conduct benchmarking to support the development and implementation of environmental and social impact measurement methodologies and KPIs to assess how ABF is living its values to engage customers, suppliers, investors and employees

To be successful in this role, you may have the following background:

  • Extensive experience of data management and sustainability reporting

  • A background in providing content for internal and external audiences

  • Experience of ESG frameworks and standards, e.g. CDP, TCFD, WBA, CDP, SASB and GRI

  • Good knowledge of global CR issues and trends
