Why are you here?

There's a few reasons that will work well for us both:

  1. You get a kick out of figuring out solutions, creating efficiencies and solving problems. You enjoy working with people equally as much as with technology, and you're ready for an opportunity that will present various challenges in a business that's growing at pace.

  2. Growth and development mean something to you. You're motivated by the thought of working for a company that doesn't just pay the bills, but that's willing to help you develop your skills and achieve your goals - whether they're personal or professional.

  3. You know that sustainability means far more than canvas tote bags and binging David Attenborough documentaries on the weekend - and you're excited by the prospect of working in and around that space. If you could find a job with a company driven by creating social and environmental value while promoting good business, you'd have signed on the dotted line yesterday.

If you're nodding along, it sounds like you're in the right place.

We'll tell you why we're here.

We're experiencing incredible levels of growth at Acre and it's happening thick and fast. It's crucial that the right infrastructure is in place to support our teams and we're committed to providing them with the tools and technology needed to deliver an exceptional service. We need someone to help our Central function manage the increasing demand for technology support and systems improvement.

Does this sound like you? Let's tell you more about it.

Firstly, we're a global recruitment business operating in the sustainability and climate change sectors. I'm sure this explains a little about why we're so busy - everyone is looking to tackle these problems head-on right now, but also need a recruitment partner that's been around the block a couple of times. Fortunately, we've been doing this a long time - 18 years to be exact - so we know what our clients are looking to achieve and the solutions that will get them there.

We're headquartered in London, offices in Amsterdam and New York… but currently, we're all working from home. We can be flexible about that in the long term too if that's your preference, so we're open to where you're based, as long as you could easily get into London a few times every fortnight.

Now, if you were to join our Data & Technology team, what might the role look like on the day to day?

  • Supporting the team's day-to-day use of Acre's tools and technologies: you'll be ready to lend a hand with the troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, manage user accounts and access, and help to develop your colleagues' understanding of how to best utilise the systems at their disposal.

  • Delivering continuous improvements: you'll seize opportunities to improve the efficiency and usability of the systems we use, through data cleansing, process improvements and contributions to bigger Data & Technology projects that impact the business globally.

  • Identifying opportunities to be innovative and elevate Acre's Data & Technology offering: you'll be encouraged to show creativity in not only reacting to existing issues, but proactively finding areas for improvement and presenting solutions that will continue to support the growth of the business.

As a whole, what else might interest you about working at Acre?

  • You'll be working in a supportive, development-driven environment. This means that we'll work with you to form an 'Alliance' whereby we'll let you know what we hope to get from you in your role, but we'll also ask you what we can do to help you develop and progress your career in return.

  • You'll be encouraged to leverage our successes and learn from our failures. Acre is a well-known name in the sectors we operate in and you will therefore benefit from an established and professional reputation, a strong database and a wealth of experience from your colleagues.

  • When it comes to helping tackle some of the world's greatest social and environmental issues, we're a large team of very passionate individuals. With that, we strive to embody our values of:

    • Collaboration: We trust each other and we work together because we believe that collectively, we can achieve more.

    • Innovation: We apply curiosity and creativity to everything we do, learning by asking the right questions to find innovative and forward-thinking solutions for our clients and our business.

    • Integrity: We hold ourselves to the same high standards we hold society to.

    • Courage: We embrace the power of vulnerability and transparency. We are brave in our conversations, will challenge directly and are courageous about doing the right thing, not the easy thing.

You might like to know what skills we'd ask from you in return:

  • Understanding of the recruitment industry, and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies and concepts

  • Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and the ability to support and troubleshoot on these platforms

  • An affinity for technology and a keen interest in its application in a commercial setting

  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the userbase and with suppliers and partners, both in writing and verbally

  • A hands-on, proactive approach to user support

  • A thirst for knowledge and continuous improvement, with the constant desire to demonstrate drive and exceptional levels of service

We’d love to hear from you if you think that this sounds like the right opportunity for you. Please apply directly or contact Jonny Christer at Jonathon.Christer@acre.com.
