This is backed by deep expertise in policy, operations, and project management in the world of carbon and net zero.

What is the role about?

They are looking for an outgoing, driven individual with an eye for starting fruitful partnerships. This person should be highly knowledgeable about the FMCG retail ecosystem and exposed to the nuances of digital marketing and customer experience themes.

They should also be committed to the fight against climate change and excited about contributing positively to our planet's sustainability goals. This person would work closely with online retail partners.

This role is independent, and we look for people motivated by ownership and creative problem-solving. This person would, in time, build a team to scale up our online strategy for Net Zero retail.

We highly prefer the role to be based in London, UK but are open to a hybrid arrangement.

What you will work on:

  • Source and evaluate partnerships with digital retailers in the B2C FMCG space

  • Sell the net-zero vision and retail game plan to senior executives and board members of potential retail partners

  • Help structure partnerships which create win-win-win outcomes for partners, and their end-customers

  • Coordinate customer discovery activities and help apply insights to the design of partner marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Monitor competition and stay on top of the net-zero landscape.

  • Help structure product offerings, define pricing strategies, and optimise placement choices.

  • Collect and analyse market insights, giving our digital product and operations teams clear inputs to prioritisation and solution design

  • Contribute to and drive a strategic roadmap for the company's rapid scale-up of its online net-zero retail activities

You will excel if you have:

  • 4-6 years of experience in a digital marketing role for online FMCG retailers

  • Existing relationships with online retailers in the UK or Europe - boutique retailers with climate-aware consumers would be an advantage.

  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and consumer touch points. Formulating pricing strategies based on sound research and methods will be critical.

  • Creativity and resourcefulness in creating solutions to business problems

  • Ability to define appropriate metrics to capture the impact of interventions on crucial areas like conversions, customer satisfaction, or brand presence.

  • Discipline and drive

  • A passion for sustainability topics and a clear commitment to the fight against climate change.

  • Ability to learn nuances of new domains (carbon) quickly with support from experts.

  • Good sense of right and wrong behaviour in social, collaborative, and multicultural settings.

  • Ability to enjoy working in a hybrid remote set-up.
