Director: Energy Lead - Capital Advisory

Acre has partnered with one of the world's leading impact investment banks to identify a Capital Advisory Director to lead the development of their energy business, with a particular focus on the off-grid energy sector as well as exploring opportunities in the wider energy space.

Our client is a well-established leader in their field with over £600m in mobilised capital to date, and with solution offerings across capital raising, M&A and strategy. They work with mission-driven companies from across the world, with the majority of clients based in or focused on emerging markets, and in a wide array of sectors of the impact economy.

Specifically, responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will:

• Lead origination, manage client relationships and execution of deals around capital raising, M&A and strategy

• Be responsible for building the practice by representing the firm in various industry forums, while supporting and guiding junior colleagues to build a best-in-class team

• Work closely with the senior management of the group in areas of business, strategy, attracting talent and developing best practices

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A track record in delivering small to medium Capital Advisory, Capital Raising and M&A/Structing projects

• A deep understanding of the energy sector, specifically as it pertains to impact investing

• A deep understanding of emerging market economies and the associated risks and opportunities of investing in them

• Ability to lead a business and a team of associates and analysts to deliver solutions for the client
