Our client is committed to providing comprehensive renewable energy advisory and procurement services focused on analyzing and mitigating risk while improving sustainability within each client's energy portfolio.
As Business Development Director EU, you will engage new prospects, drive relationships, and articulate the value of implementing integrated energy and sustainability strategies for commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations across Europe.
Key Accountabilities:
You have excellent communication skills coped with a consultative approach, and you will put this skillset into use by developing new business and leveraging existing relationships
An entrepreneurial and visionary thinking, as you will be responsible for establishing the target segment and determining a prospecting plan with the best method/tools to reach the right contacts within the prospect's organization
Your outstanding knowledge of the electricity and renewables market in Europe will allow you to provide a consultative approach, understand pain points and ultimately empower organizations to manage their key cost, carbon, and strategic sustainability challenges
You have excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail, which, combined with effective use of the CRM tool, will ensure regular and meaningful communication with prospects and customers
You will stay updated on market trends and competition, as you will educate your prospects, communicate the company's value proposition, and drive relationships that reach exclusive Master Services Agreements and Power Purchase Agreements with your target segment
A high sense of collaboration is also needed for this role as you will proactively coordinate internal support with marketing for client proposals and with the Senior Director for pricing and negotiation frameworks
As Director of Business Development, you will play a key role in increasing the company's presence in the European market, therefore, you will attend relevant industry conferences, meetings, and events
About you:
You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the origination and consulting around large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe
Higher professional education in Business, Finance, Environmental Science, or related field
A demonstrated track record of successfully engaging and maintaining relationships with large C&I companies
You enjoy working in flexible, fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environments
You have a data-driven mentality and leverage the benefits of using technological tools to support your methodologies
You are flexible for travelling up to 30%
