In partnership with Atlas Copco's VP Sustainability, Vacuum Techniques, Acre is leading the hire for a Director of Climate Change. You will have a huge impact on the business and its manufacturing sites worldwide and be a key driver of sustainable advancement.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the Operational Climate Transition Roadmap globally, establishing framework relationships with sustainable solution partners, building climate transition plans which empower clear accountabilities within a matrix organisation, and developing internal tools which can be utilised across the business to deliver against environmental targets
Leading the development and execution of solutions which decarbonise, reducing energy and water consumption, as well as waste generation and biodiversity impacts
Creating an engagement strategy to inspire colleagues, clients and suppliers to drive more sustainable operations
Engaging colleagues whose activities include the development of sustainability-focused technologies, providing insights and support where required
Working with colleagues from other enabling functions within Vacuum Techniques to support activities such as well-being, employee induction, workplace safety, and compliance
Strategically transforming the current function to drive and influence sustainability
You will be someone who embraces challenges, acts with integrity and is a natural relationship builder.
You will:
Be a subject matter expert in change management and bring knowledge of the tools, partnerships and commercial agreements to help operationalise sustainability objectives
Have experience in implementing the latest industry standards in relation to decarbonisation and/or sustainability
Most likely have a background in an engineering, relevant environmental discipline, or bring extensive environmental management experience with a commercial lens
Understand how to deliver results in a matrix environment, creating frameworks and guidelines to measure success
