Our client is an independent, conservation and communities focused non-profit that invests directly into conservation real estate as well as structures transactions to buy and sell conservation real assets.

This impactful organization has retained Acre to appoint a Director of Climate Finance who will be responsible for marketing and structuring dialogs that build the demand required to accelerate forest conservation projects and increase nature-based solutions for private sector partners. In this role, you will be working with the CFO and CEO as part of the senior leadership team.

In this newly created role, the Director will:

  • Design and execute the market strategy, business development plan and create scalable solutions as the organisations commercial architect.

  • Foster, engage and manage significant transaction structuring and origination deals with the corporate, banking, conservation finance or asset management sectors.

  • Articulate how nature-based solutions and carbon markets can be utilized for impact-first opportunities.

The Director will navigate private and public market to build consultative relationships with sophisticated buyers, alongside the growth and delivery on a substantial deal pipeline. You will influence growth and deliver value within a purpose-led environment.

As a commercial, sustainability professional, your experience will include:

  • Corporate finance, banking or investing within impact, sustainability, an ESG portfolio or real assets (such as forestry or agriculture).

  • Engaging with corporate and financial institutions to arrange transactions, deals and partnerships.

  • An appreciation for advancing nature-based solutions for climate change and conservation.
