The role: Director Sustainability & Business Development

To facilitate and expand Schneider's sustainability consulting in France, its largest market, they are looking for an experienced leader who will manage, support, and develop their team.

The aim of this role is to establish and grow Schneider Electric Sustainability Consulting Services (ESS) business in France, Spain, and French speaking countries by generating new consulting service revenues and additional business opportunities.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • You will lead the commercial development of the French & Spanish market, supporting your team in meeting and exceeding targets.

  • Provide development and leadership to your team of sustainability consultants and business developers to allow them to deliver top-of-class sustainability and climate advice to multinational clients.

  • Act as the connector between the client and Schneider service offerings, constantly communicating with the international Schneider organization to further improve Schneider's services.

  • Coach and inspire junior team members to develop their consulting and client communication skills, creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow.

  • Contribute to Sustainability knowledge management by working closely with Knowledge Management team to identify knowledge gaps and develop new methodologies, tools and assets.

  • Senior management experience within a consulting context, where you have been responsible for both delivery and especially commercial results.

  • You have at least some exposure to sustainability and have good knowledge of the sustainability consulting marketplace.

  • You have a solid track-record of developing strong client relationships with C-levels of large organisations.

  • You have leadership, coaching and mentoring experience that allows you to comfortably manage, motivate and develop your team with members of different seniority levels.

French and English language skills are a must-have, and you will need to be fluent in both to drive change in this role.
