Acre is proud to be supporting a global leader in consumer health on the recruitment of an exciting, newly created role. The role will be based in the UK and will be operationally accountable to over 10 manufacturing sites across EMEA with a global mandate on the generation and deployment of standards, practices, toolsets and in developing site capabilities across industrial hygiene in accordance with business priorities. This role will also be part of a global network of industrial hygienists, set up to drive continuous improvement in health and hygiene across the organisation.

Reporting to the Global Head of Industrial Hygiene, this role will need to take a strategic lead on the business's approach to; industrial hygiene, ergonomics, chemical safety and support on broader EHS areas to support in driving a culture of continuous improvement and industry leadership.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide deep technical support in industrial hygiene and ergonomics and other topics such as Chemical Safety, REACH, GHS and TDG

  • Lead the industrial hygiene approach across the EMEA region, including:

    • Identifying talent and building organisational capacity within region

    • Promote inter-site networking and collaboration

    • Mitigating safety & business risks associated with industrial hygiene

    • Working with regional finance and engineering teams to build solid business cases for significant capital investments and ensure the successful delivery and implementations of such investments

  • Develop and own data management and reporting systems, presenting these reports and findings to the EMEA regional leadership team on an ongoing basis

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ideally a Master's degree in; Engineering/Industrial Hygiene or similar qualification

  • Up to date certification in industrial hygiene - CIH, BOHS or equivalent

  • The ability to work autonomously, develop and implement strategy through influence and engagement and lead as the subject matter expert across multiple sites

  • This role requires a strong analytical a technical based background within a high-risk industry

  • The ability to drive change projects across multiple sites and regions through influence and credibility
