Acre are pleased to be supporting a leading organisation in Central London, who are seeking an experienced Energy Manager to help develop and grow their multi-disciplined Energy & Sustainability team at a key period of growth.

You will play a critical part in our client's journey toward becoming Net Zero. Our client is currently managing 25% of all property within a square mile and supports multiple landmarks across London. You will provide the optimum balance of commercial performance, environmental benefit and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Carbon Reduction Plan

  • Managing the procurement of our client's electricity, gas, water, district heating and renewable energy contracts

  • Ensuring that our client is compliant with energy and carbon legislation and that the client maintains their reputational leadership position, including MEES, SECR, ESOS, heat regulations and voluntary reporting

  • Managing energy and carbon reporting for both internal and external communication

  • Supporting the Energy Reporting Manager by optimising the financial management of billing and cost management for utilities using software solutions

  • Developing a monitoring and exception reporting system to identify energy trends and anomalies

This opportunity will give the successful candidate excellent exposure to projects within both the Private & Public sector, working across a multi-billion-pound portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in energy management in a corporate environment, this could be as an in-house energy manager or energy consultant

  • Sound knowledge of the UK environmental compliance and reporting landscape

  • An energy-related discipline qualification or accreditation is highly desirable

  • Experience of delivering energy management services and outcomes across complex portfolios

  • Skilled in analysis, management and presentation
