Ball Packaging, the global leading manufacturer of aluminium packaging solutions, is hiring an Energy Procurement Analyst, reporting to the Director of EMEA Energy Procurement. You will support Ball in making procurement decisions for both renewable and non-renewable energy sources, facilitating its manufacturing plants worldwide as they create fully circular packaging solutions.

You'll spend your time:

  • Assisting with the analysis of new possibilities and innovative ways of lowering Ball's energy spend

  • Working with an industry-leading sustainability team to support emissions reporting and compliance in line with global sustainability frameworks (CDP, Dow Jones and Annual Report)

  • Communicating with utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions to gather energy market intelligence

  • Supporting the management of tendering process for power and gas contracts

  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of market updates for the Sector and Group Hedge Committees

You will bring:

  • A numerate and analytical background with high proficiency in Excel and data manipulation

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus but isn't required - knowledge of excel programming languages such as VBA is a plus

  • Ability to support new ideas and recommendations with data to influence stakeholders across the business

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment

  • Knowledge of EU electricity and natural gas markets and associated regulations
